On behalf of the St. Louis Apartment Association, I hope you’re working through the overwhelming challenges affecting our industry, you and your loved ones.
The association staff has received a tremendous amount of support from the National Apartment Association. They have been by our side to assist with any obstacles that members could be facing. If you have any questions or need assistance in any way, please don’t hesitate to call the SLAA Office, 314-205-8844. We will do our best to provide or connect you with a representative to assist.
On an association level, we have been busy cancelling and rescheduling events planned in April and May. Ever since the crisis emerged, like you, we have been taking it one day at a time. We will continue to move forward as suggested by the health experts and city and state officials.
I'm sure you will agree, the amount of COVID-19 information we receive daily has been somewhat overwhelming. I've created a page on our web site that houses various information/guidelines that could be helpful to you.
We’ve had a great response so far for our Fair Housing webinar scheduled for May 19th. Zeffert and Associates was able to switch to on-line learning for this important educational seminar.
For the next several weeks, our classroom learning is on pause…..until it’s safe for our members to gather together once again.
On that note, we're working behind the scenes to coordinate additional on-line learning and member engagement opportunities for our members to participate in, if they choose.
Here’s where we're at right now -
- EPA Training and Exam, scheduled for April 23 & 30 is cancelled. This event will be rescheduled as soon as my building opens, and the Ranken instructor is confirmed; could be the middle of June.
- Electrical Troubleshooting scheduled for the morning of April 23 will be rescheduled, exact date TBD.
- Interior/Exterior Maintenance scheduled for May 14 will be rescheduled, exact date TBD.
- Rising Star Awards Banquet has been rescheduled to Friday evening, August 7, 2020.
