SLAA Members Unite for Tornado Relief: A Community Effort in Action
On May 16, 2025, a powerful rain-wrapped EF-3 tornado tore through the Saint Louis region, touching down in Clayton and carving a devastating path through the northern portions of St. Louis City. The mile-wide storm left behind a trail of destruction—damaging homes, businesses, and displacing countless residents.
In the aftermath, the Saint Louis Apartment Association (SLAA) quickly mobilized to support those affected. Demonstrating the strength and compassion of our multifamily housing community, SLAA members came together to organize a relief drive for the victims of the tornado.
Thanks to the generosity of our members, we were able to collect and deliver critical supplies, including non-perishable food items, bottled water, personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies, clothing, and household essentials. Donations poured in from property management teams, supplier partners, and residents alike, showcasing the true spirit of community and resilience.
