Shift – Monday thru Friday – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with weekend availability  Part-time

SUMMARY: The Assistant Community Manger is responsible for assisting the Community Manager with achieving occupancy, budget, maintenance and overall operational goals of the property.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with marketing.
  • Collect rent and handle delinquent accounts.
  • Assures that accurate leasing and administrative processes are being performed.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate payroll records.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate accounting of vendor billing and resident ledger accounting; meets deadlines for bank deposits.
  • Purchase necessary office supplies.
  • Ensure that residents are provided with a clean, well-maintained community.
  • Work within the established budget and notify Community Manager of any variance.
  • Ensure that all maintenance requests are handled on an immediate one-call basis, within 24 hours if possible, and that residents are notified if parts must be ordered, causing a delay.
  • Continually inspect property for improvements, record deficiencies and taking the necessary action, within approved dollar limits.
  • Establish schedules and assign personnel for routine, deferred and emergency maintenance.
  • Promote positive resident relations, handling resident complaints.
  • Assume the responsibilities of the Community Manager in his/her absence or direction; assists manager in motivating and promoting teamwork.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
  • 1-2 years in multi-family residential management preferred.
  • Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite; Payroll Systems; Yardi software

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years in multi-family residential management preferred.
  • Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite; Payroll Systems; Yardi software
