SLAA Tornado Relief Drive
Date postedJune 2, 2025
In the wake of the recent tornadoes that impacted the St. Louis area, the St. Louis Apartment Association has made a $1,000 donation to the City of St. Louis Tornado Response Fund to support local recovery efforts. Our hearts are with those affected, and we are grateful to contribute in a small way to the ongoing relief work in our community.
The Saint Louis Apartment Association is hosting a personal care drive through the end of June to collect donations for those impacted by the May 16th tornado. All donations must be delivered to the SLAA Office no later than Wednesday, July 9th. The SLAA Community Awareness Committee will sort, box, and deliver all items to the organizations in St. Louis that are distributing directly to victims of the tornado.
-
Some of the most needed items include: diapers, baby wipes, feminine hygiene products, shampoo, soap, wash clothes, toothpaste / toothbrushes, deodorant, and cleaning products.
-
SLAA will also be collecting gift cards to WalMart, local grocery stores, and Target to assist the families who are displaced.
-
A big "thank you" to our supplier partners who have been working tirelessly the past several weeks to aid in the recovery efforts. Many donated their time by cutting down trees, handing out food, helping families move, and so much more. Several supplier partners have donated construction materials, such as tarps, plywood, caulk, ladders and other items.
-
We still have a long way to go, so we are asking for our members to help. Let's work together to support our neighbors.
