You support the administration of key marketing initiatives that support the organization's KPIs and increase engagement of the Mills brand. With your creative mindset, you create brand and property awareness that drive potential residents to our properties and improve resident retentions.

How You Will Be Successful:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and seek appropriate community partnerships to create brand and property recognition; generating interest and leads
  • Maintain accurate and in-depth knowledge of Mills properties, the local market & competitors through market studies, regularly reviewing and understanding the market landscape to stay abreast of competitors strengths, weaknesses and marketing initiatives.
  • Participate in and/or conduct marketing training sessions for the properties to include best practices in both marketing and social media practices, as well as reputation management.
  • Assist Marketing Manager in the design and implementation of traditional, digital and social marketing plans to attract potential and retain existing residents thereby driving occupancy and revenue
  • Conduct research on content, SEO, keyword evaluation, social media strategies and digital marketing strategies to help grow the Mills brand online presence.
  • Oversee quality and accuracy of company website, property websites, ILS listings, corporate social media page, property social media pages, GMB pages, and email campaigns including regular updates to Google AdWords, building of SEO strategy, ongoing social media advertising plan for the properties, and the designing of content consistent with Mills brand.
  • Execute and manage SEO, PPC, and other digital marketing campaigns, while staying within budget and maximizing return on ad spend.
  • Track, report, and analyze the impact of web content, marketing campaigns, SEO and PPC campaigns through ongoing monthly reporting.
  • Implement, manage, and evaluate Mills social media campaigns, recruitment, and brand reputation through ongoing Social Media efforts.
  • Develop monthly blogs utilizing company intranet, including events and social media best practices.
  • Utilization of Canva to create materials for property events, resident testimonials, employee announcements and other categories to keep the internal social media catalog up to date.
  • Create and maintain marketing materials and templates including print media, newsletters, digital campaigns, and email marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate collateral production and distribution of new content consistent with branding guidelines; includes photography, videography, floor plans, site maps, virtual staging, virtual tours, property logos, and digital ads.
  • Develop internal communication through the Monthly e-Newsletter and other company updates in collaboration with the marketing manager and department heads to deliver important and relevant information throughout the Mills team.
  • Manage and respond to customer support ticket system including marketing support, property information management, and RentCafé user account support, providing excellent service through timely and courteous responses.
  • Work alongside the Marketing Accounts Manager and Operations team on any other projects as needed.
  • Abide by Mills policies and procedures and laws pertaining to Fair Housing, ADA, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or 3 years' experience in a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of professional marketing experience within the property management industry
  • Strong understanding of traditional, digital, and emerging marketing channels including the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, creative writing, and marketing production
  • Strong knowledge of online reputation management, social media, Google analytics, and AdWords
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Google Analytics, and Google AdWords
  • Experience with WordPress, HTML, RentCafé, Yardi CRM, MailChimp, & Canva preferred
  • Ability to think creatively while possessing analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
  • Strong project management and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Compelling communicator with the ability to convey ideas and concepts concisely through interpersonal, written and verbal communication
  • Strong analytical thinker with demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve problems with sound judgment based on accurate and timely analyses
  • Proven ability to maintain composure against obstacles, solving problems with keen insight
  • Adept at building relationships and working in a team environment with track record of sharing ideas, providing encouragement, building on other's ideas, giving recognition and bringing out the best in others
