Newly formed - IRO Committee

What is an Independent Rental Owner (IRO)?

SLAA defines an Independent Rental Owner (IRO) as an individual or individuals that own or manage rental properties, and are actively involved, from an ownership perspective, in the management of their properties.

Why Join Your Local IROC?

Independent rental owners should become involved in their local IROC for several reasons:

  • Updates on local, state and national legislative issues
  • Sharing ideas with fellow IROC members
  • Update on legal issues that impact your business
  • Social and networking activities
  • Exposure to local and state suppliers
  • General educational sessions such as leasing, marketing, lease enforcement, credit, and criminal background checks
  • Opportunity to strengthen committee by providing your input and ideas
  • National Apartment Association’s New IRO Community Site Provides Best Practices Information

An enthusiastic group of SLAA members are teaming up to coordinate educational programs such as forums, seminars, and networking opportunities that assist IROs in developing and growing their businesses.

For upcoming programs, please see SLAA’s Calendar of Events.

Typically, these programs will take place in the SLAA Office, located at 12777 Olive Blvd, St. Louis, MO  63141.  Seating is limited.
